7 days to Christmas

18 Dec

With the last weekend of shopping until the big Day, how about these recycled notepads as a stocking filler gift, or even to use yourself to jot down those last minute bits and bobs you still need to buy.  Just as useful all year round too for shopping lists, doodles, song lyrics, poems…

Find a selection on my Folksy SHOP.  If you would like a special one making up with a different message, let me know and I will see what I can do…

What did you do last Summer?

11 Nov

Well, there has been a bit of a gap in blogging over the last few months, so its time to start up again, and (very) briefly explain what I’ve been doing…

During the Spring and Summer I was designing a range of Wedding Stationery, taking photos of beautiful flowers (lots of roses!), doing computer bits, printing, cutting, stamping, glueing buttons, tieing ribbons, making samples, and much more…

I still need to get some lovely photos together of some of the creations, but here is a little taster of the Menu to get started.

NEW STATIONERY PRODUCTS

Just a little post to let you know I’ve uploaded some of my new recycled stationery onto my Folksy SHOP, including …

Some of the new Basic range of Cards (basic because they don’t have inserts or buttons attached, and are a bargain £1.50 each).  They are still made using quality recycled card and recycled envelopes, and have hand stamped messages onto the front.

I’ve also uploaded some of the new Recycled Notepads, with hand stamped messages of ‘HOPE‘ and ‘dont forget‘, so you can always remember that shopping list, or song lyric in the future with these lovely little pads.

If you have any wording or messages you would like putting onto a card or notepad, please get in touch and I will see what I can do!

Mothers Day

11 Mar

IS ON ITS WAY

So, I’m just realising that Mothering Sunday is this weekend, not next! Doh.

I’ve recently finished some Mother goodies, including a new range of recycled notepads which could make a lovely gift.  Recycled tags are attached and hand-stamped with various messages, and hand-punched with either a heart or star motif.

I also have a new range of Mother/Mum/Mummy cards, which are blank inside so could be used all year round for birthdays, thank yous, invites, etc.

For other designs, check out my Folksy SHOP.

NEW CREATIONS

Getting ready for the double event weekend thats just gone, I was manically sewing new ‘felt bib’ necklaces – using reclaimed felt for their backings, and vintage/reclaimed buttons to embelish, finished with co-ordinating new ribbon. They are a new experiment for me – what do you think?

I also want to expand my stationery range, so have sourced some simple, cute little notepads (made from recycled paper/card of course) which I’ve then embellished with tags (also recycled), and then hand stamped little messages onto them.  Simple but effective.

I’m also developing a ‘basic’ range of cards which are simpler to make and don’t have inserts (unlike my other cards), so will be that bit more affordable – I will update my Folksy shop, so keep checking to see the new designs…

DOUBLE WHAMMY EVENT WEEKEND

Original Minnie 'dont forget' recycled notepadI created some new necklaces and stationery for the whammy weekend, including this hand stamped ‘dont forget’ recycled notepad

So, on Saturday I was in Leicester at Fabrika Independant Arts Centre, (a few doors down from Primark).  It’s an interesting building project – The Arts Organisation in Leicester is re-developing it at the moment – the room we were in, is to be a public Gallery space apparently.  Some parts of the building are still being painted and spruced up, but with a cafe there already, and plans for a monthly craft market, I think it’s somewhere to be put on the radar…  I am not familiar with Leicester, so I intend to go back some time to properly explore…

The event was organised by Wood Jewellery who works with an amazing range of naturally colourful woods – think much more than just ‘brown’.  I also met some lovely stallholders including Adelina Lucas who recycles scraps of fabric and plastic bags into attractive gifts and accessories, and Bee Designs who makes beautiful stationery, and whom was also at the craft event I did the next day – it’s a small world!
