Next Event – Leicester Handmade Craft Fair

UPDATED EVENTS LISTING

The next event will now be Saturday 6th March, in Leicester at the Fabrika Arts Centre (The Arts Organisation).  It is the first time Original Minnie has displayed in Leicester so its exciting!   Apparently Fabrika has its own coffee bar, which I’m sure I will take full advantage of to keep re-fueled!

It also means that weekend is going to be a double whammy with the Leicester event on Saturday and the Woodhall Spa event on Sunday – phew!  I’d better get cracking on my new designs so I have plenty of goodies to take!

FOR BUTTONS

Just an uber quick post to share with you, some of the lovely buttons I have found recently…

A mixture of old and new, I love the bright colours and the bigger sized buttons especially – I’ve got lots of ideas.  Just have to sort them into their storage boxes now, and then the fun part starts…

Next Event – Arts and Crafts for Spring

ARTS AND CRAFTS AT HISTORIC VENUE

So, the first event for Original Minnie in 2010 is announced … Arts and Crafts for Spring at the Petwood Hotel in Lincolnshire.

On Sunday 7th March, the event is being held at the historic venue which was once the base for the Dambusters squadron in World War 2.  Now its a hotel, set in acres of gardens – good for having a wonder after the fair.

Time flies…

WHEN YOU’RE HAVING FUN

I can’t believe we are in the second month of 2010 already!

After a busy end of 2009, and a little break from things, I have been getting ready to GO again!   My sewing machine has been fully serviced, I’ve been finding and buying some lovely buttons, and I’ve started the new term for my dressmaking course.

This term we are making a sleeveless blouse or top – I’m still to decide what design to do – too many ideas at the moment…!  I may get some buttons, or lace, or zips, or ribbon in there somewhere… or maybe printing… ?!
