Today I have launched my dedicated Wedding and Special Occasion Stationery ONLINE SHOP!  I will be adding more items and more design ranges over the next few days and weeks, so keep checking back.

Last POSTAGE dates for Christmas

Once you’ve found a great gift, you need to make sure it will get there in time for Christmas Day, especially if you are sending cards/gifts abroad.  If you live in the UK, you could check out the Royal Mail website for their official information.

Last ORDER dates for Christmas

If you would like to order any cards or gifts from the Original Minnie Folksy SHOP in time for Christmas, the last dates for you to order and pay by are:

• posting to UK & Channel Islands: 12 noon on Tuesday 21st December 2010
• posting to Europe: 12 noon on Monday 13th December 2010 (that’s only a week away!)
  

Any orders made or paid for after these times may not arrive in time for Christmas Day.

Just a quick reminder to let you know that I will be at my final Festive event of 2010 this weekend at the Fineshade Wood Festive Fair.

Located in the beautiful Rockingham Forest, just outside the stunning town of Stamford, it will be a two day event of quality local crafters/makers, local food stalls, Christmas trees for sale, a few festive tipples, and of course the Fineshade Cafe for a warming cuppa.

Come long for some festive spirit and gift hunting – if you have signed up to the handmade pledge for Christmas, this is the perfect opportunity to find some quality handmade gifts, made by local makers/artisans.

Belton House Christmas Market

Find some Festive Spirit and Gifts

Don’t forget you can come and see Original Minnie at the Christmas Food and Craft Market this weekend at the stunning National Trust property “Belton House“, near Grantham in Lincolnshire.

There will be lots going on with many independent craft, artisan, and food stalls, plus festive music and a traditional Mummers’ play.   The Belton House restaurant, gift shop, and attractive grounds will also be open.

Open on Saturday AND Sunday, 11am – 4pm.  Come along!

TREASURE TROVE IN NOTTINGHAM

Just thought I would share this little ‘secret’ with you…

Design Circus finds

Way back, before Christmas I found this lovely Pop-Up-Shop in West Bridgford (Nottingham), filled with handmade gifts, accessories, cards, bags and trinkets, and decided to treat myself to some goodies including this yummy cupcake keyring (which I’m still using today to adorn my keys) made by Molly’s Mum, and these sew cute little badges made by Lily Be Funky.

The only sad news was that it was a Pop-Up-Shop, due to close after Christmas, but I’ve just found out that its still open!  Run by the makers that stock it, the shop is now a permanent fixture.  Why not pop along if you’re nearby… or check out their new blog.

Ahoy There!

UPDATED AT LAST!

After hours of fighting with the camera and computer, I’ve finally finished updating the Original Minnie Folksy shop with some of the new designs I’ve been creating over the past few weeks!  The photos are still not great unfortunately, but heres hoping I will sort the technology out in the future…

Firstly, I’ve added a couple of Wedding Cards – it was fun to do some new card designs, and to spend some extra time on each one.  I even got the sewing machine out (inspired by the lessons I’ve been attending), and have incorporated some stitching into the card.   Note to self – metallic thread is more difficult to work with!

And finally, here are a few piccies from the ‘Tribal Ribbons‘ and ‘Tribal Knots‘ ranges – made with this summers other trend in mind – for ‘tribal’ style accessories.

Its quite a ‘loose’ subject description, and in a change with tradition (as with the ‘Ahoy There‘ range), the pieces I’ve made have mostly NOT used buttons…!  I have however kept with Original Minnie tradition by using a combination of new materials, with reclaimed pieces – by dismantling and reusing beads/stones/pendants from other jewellery, accessories, and clothing to create new, more interesting pieces.  It is more eco – friendly after all!
